Samsung India has launched the Galaxy Forever program — a new ownership plan designed to make its flagship foldables more accessible while giving buyers the freedom to upgrade or return the device after a year. Here’s everything you need to know.

What Is the Galaxy Forever Program?

Galaxy Forever is a 24-month subscription-style plan that bundles three things into a single monthly payment:

  • No-cost EMI for 24 months
  • Samsung Care+ device protection — covers accidental and liquid damage with zero deductibles
  • Assured buyback — return or upgrade the device anytime between months 10 and 25

The idea is simple: instead of paying the full price upfront and worrying about the phone losing value, you pay a fixed monthly amount and Samsung guarantees a buyback price if you decide to move on.

Which Devices Are Covered?

The Galaxy Forever program launches with two devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8

Monthly Cost Breakdown

Device Device EMI Program Fee Total/Month
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra ₹8,334 ₹1,083 ₹9,417
Galaxy Z Fold8 ₹7,500 ₹1,084 ₹8,584

Buyback Value by Return Window

The earlier you return, the more you get back. Samsung guarantees the following percentage of your original invoice value:

Return Window Buyback % of Invoice
Months 10–11 55%
Months 12–13 50%
Months 14–18 45%
Months 19–25 40%

How to Upgrade or Return

The process is handled entirely online through Samsung.com. You submit your upgrade or return request between months 10 and 25 of your plan. To qualify for the buyback, your device must:

  • Power on with a verifiable IMEI
  • Remain unmodified (no hardware changes)
  • Include the stylus — if it’s missing, Samsung deducts ₹4,399

Is It Worth It?

If you’ve always wanted a Galaxy Z Fold but held back because of the high upfront cost or resale value anxiety, Galaxy Forever makes a compelling case. You get Care+ protection (worth paying for on a foldable), predictable monthly payments, and a guaranteed exit route at 40–55% of the invoice price — which is actually better than most open-market resale values for year-old flagship foldables.

It’s particularly smart for someone who upgrades every 12–18 months. Return at month 10–11, get 55% back, and step into the next Galaxy.
